As it was earlier reportedthere have been fixed the date and the place of the Fourth International Music Festival "Beatles-Forever!" The Festival is to take place on the 16-th of the June 2007 and will be devoted to the 65-th anniversary of Paul McCartney. The place of the Festival conducting will traditionaly become SOK "Logoisk" tht is situated 30 km from Minsc, Vitebsk direction, near Logoisk town. The entrance is free. “Double Fantasy” Duo Belarus |

The formation of this duo is obligated to the appearance of the first “Beatles Café” on the territory of the ex-USSR in Minsk in 2003. The professionalism of these musicians is indisputable. At different time they had been the participants of the famous Belarusian group “Pesnyary”, but united in a duo due to their great love to “The Beatles” band. The performance of these musicians with Beatles repertoire can’t leave anyone indifferent and always deserves great applause. Right now they play in various bands famous not only in Belarus. Vladimir Tkachenko – guitar, arranger of The State Orchestra under Michael Finberg conducting. Victor Molchanov – guitarist of the “Pesnyary” band. “Double Fantasy” Duo is the permanent participant of all the festivals “Beatles-Forever!” in Minsk and some other cities also had a chance to appreciate their mastery.

The name of Leonid Tihomirov, an actor, composer, musician, is well-known not only in his native city St. Petersburg but far beyond its boarders in Moscow, Toliatti, Minsk. From 1974 he has been a participant of many parties, festivals and holidays devoted to “The Beatles” band. Leonid sincerely loves “The Beatles” band and always gives a piece of his soul performing the songs of The Fab Four to all presented at his concerts. He has been singing Beatles songs from 1967.

“The Prellies” band was formed in 2002. Their repertoire is mainly consists of the songs which “The Beatles” performed in the early 60s in Hamburg and Liverpool. They are trying to perform the way “The Beatles” did playing fast and thrilling Rock-n-Roll. Their first performance was at “The Casbah Coffee Club”, then at “The Jacaranda Coffee Bar”. Since 2003 they constantly take part in the annual Liverpool Beatles-Week. Besides they played with Tony Sheridan and acted in a BBC film “The Lost Beatles” devoted to Stuart Sutcliffe.

“The Sunflowers” band was formed in Saint Petersburg in the early 2000s. There are plenty of Beatles songs in their repertoire right now. This band requires more and more experience every year and now it can be considered one of the most interesting groups in the city on the “Neva” river. The musicians participate in all the Beatles festivals held in Saint Petersburg, Moscow and also perform in a Petersburg café “Liverpool”.

“Back from the USSR” was formed in 2005 and since their formation they have played many concerts in their homeland of Russia as well as across the continent. First appearing in 2005 at the Beatles Week in Liverpool they quickly became one of the fans favourites over there and were immediately invited by the organizers to participate in the next festival. Right after the successful concerts in Liverpool there appeared a report in Internet that Alena Yarushina, the soloist of the band, was socially recognized the best vocalist at the Beatles Week in Liverpool. Front man Valeriy Yarushin started his musical career in the early 70’s with the band “Ariel” who became one of the most popular USSR rock-pop bands At the moment the musicians are getting ready a new programme for the international festivals. Special emphasis in this programme is laid on vocal of Alena Yarushina and keyboard solo of her brother Oleg.

“Mal Evans Memorial Band” consisting of great musicians, performing the songs of their idols, was formed in 1998. Beatle fans know and love this band because of their huge enthousiasm. It was named in honour of a roadie and a good friend of “The Beatles” Mal Evans, who unfortunately tragically died. In 2005 the band received the prestigious “Golden Apple” Award from the Dutch fan club Beatles Unlimited for the best performance of a Beatle tune. They were chosen (along with other bands) to appear at the annual Beatle Week festivities in Liverpool in august 2006. February 2007 sees the release of an album consisting of dutch versions of Beatle songs.

“V.S.O.P.” band Belarus |

“V.S.O.P.” band was formed in 2005 in Minsk. Four musicians, having played and playing in different projects, were united by great desire to perform together. The greater part of their repertoire is the songs of “The Beatles” – a huge love and tribute to the great band. The musicians perform well-known Beatles songs in hard-rock arrangement. The band is held in respect among many famous musicians. They often participate in clubs and Beatles festivals. The band consists of two musicians. They are Andrey Kozlovskiy and Alexander Nesterovich, the former participants of a legendary Belarusian rock band “Suzor’e”.

Valeriy Shchezhin, a composer, performer and arranger lives in the city of Samara. In different times he worked as a soloist playing the balalaika, a Russian folk instrument, in Saratov and Samara Philharmonic Society; and as a composer and arranger of the ensemble of folk instruments “Souvenir”. He is a prize-winner of various Russian and foreign contests and festivals. He released three albums. He is the author of more than 100 songs and academic music. His arrangement of “The Beatles songs” and their performance on the balalaika fascinates everybody irrespective of age.

For the last 10 years “Lucy-in-the-sky” has been one of the most popular and successful Beatles-Cover-Bands in Germany. They perform songs in their own unmistakable lively and vivid style rather than sticking too close to the original sound. Coming up on a stage in original sixties-style suits they take the audience back in time to the bloom of Rock-n-Roll. The band participate in many concerts in Germany and abroad, take part in various Beatles festivals in France, Spain (“Star Club” in Mallorca) and England (Liverpool Beatles-Week).
